Where science meets nature

Introduction to the CdC Project

The CdC Project is located in the heart of the Algarve region of Portugal. Famous for the production of world class wine, orange, olive, carob and almond, the Algarve has an amazingly diverse geographic landscape from the mountains of Monchique to the Atlantic Ocean with its many beautiful beaches and spectacular surf. Within easy reach of all transport systems, The CdC Project could not be more accessible, however despite being well connected and in close proximity to several urban centers, the setting is rural, calm and peaceful.
Having now completed most of the infrastructure, using sustainable methods, materials and technology, the start of Phase 1 will commence with the opening of a café and members areas including an indoor lounge, terraces and gardens as well as offering accommodation in the form of a very comfortable three bedroom vivenda, with private garden and parking.
Activities will be provided through a diverse series of members groups. Our aim is to create both a meeting place and resource centre to facilitate both learning and socializing with like-minded people . Preliminary activities will include repair, restore and transform workshops, culinary and pop up eating club, art & photography groups, garden and nature club, a wine club, an audiophile club, motorcycle club, language lab and general local social club. Naturally, all activities will have a sustainable twist.
Phase 2 of the project will provide a 100+ seat audio visual venue with extensive terraces and gardens which will host music performance, lectures, art exhibitions, sport and educational screenings, demonstrations and presentations.
